Gamma is an A ranked member of the Millefiore Family, who commands the 3rd attack squad of the Black Spell. Gamma's wields the lightning flame and specializes in electric-based attacks. A laid backed man when relaxed, he is merciless in battle. His interactions with Shoichi Irie shows he has little to no respect for members of the White Spell. According to Lal Mirch, Gamma is responsible for wiping out many of the allies of the Vongola Family.

While searching for Kyoya Hibari, Gamma runs into Hayato Gokudera and Takeshi Yamamoto, and proceeds to battle them. Even though they both cooperate and fight side by side, they are no match for Gamma. He questions them about the rumors of the Vongola 10th Boss' return. Before he's about to finish them, Kyoya Hibari appears and appears to kill him after a short battle.

Gamma later reappears alive in Chapter 172, arguing with Shoichi Irie in a hanger bay, though they interrupted by Phantom Knight who has come under Byakuran's orders to protect Irie. When Tsuna's group infiltrates their base, he is sent with Tazaru and Ginger Bread to guard the base's control room. However, when Shoichi began to move the cubes of the Melone base, he runs into Gokudera and Ryohei. He defeats Ryohei, but is stopped by Gokudera as he attempts to deliver the finishing blow. His rematch with Gokudera is more difficult, and both sides fight to a stalemate.

Gamma asks Gokudera if the Vongola can defeat Byakuran. It is revealed that Gamma has a deep hatred of Byakuran and members of the White Spell. Gamma fights for the Millefiore because Uni, who Gamma cared for, is one of its bosses.

Gamma is the wielder of the Mare Lightning Ring, a ring equal to the power of the Vongola's Lightning Guardian Ring. He can use his lightning attribute flame to hover in the air as well as create electromagnetic barrier that can defend against physical and flame-based attacks. He carries a billiard cue which he uses with his main box weapon, a series of electrically charged billiard balls. Gamma also uses an animal box weapon, in the form of two foxes made of lightning, which can be enhanced using a third box that unlocks their full power.
